The First PDA-CHINA Training Course on Polyurea Technology at the Jobsite of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway Ended Successfully in Changzhou
In need of the necessary of professional applicators for Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway construction, the First PDA-CHINA Training Course on Polyurea Technology at the Jobsite of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway hosted by PDA-CHINA and the Department of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway Project of China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd, associated by Weifang Hongyuan Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd and Qingdao Technological University was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province from September 29, 2009 to October 8, 2009.
According to the experience of being engaged in R&D on polyurea for 15 years and taking part in drafting “Temporary Technological Guideline for Spraying Polyurea As the Waterproofing Layer on the Bridge Beams of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway”, Prof. Weibo Huang (in red T-shirt) gave instruction in the following key points:
1. “Temporary Technological Guideline for Spraying Polyurea As the Waterproofing Layer on the Bridge Beams of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway”.
2. The core content of the monograph “Spray Polyurea Elastomer Technology”.
3. The systems of GRACO-HXP3/MP and 20/35Pro/DI.
4. Shot blasting machine, automatic spray rig, adhesion tester, thickness gauge, temperature measurement instrument.
5. Qtech-112 all-weather substrate processing system, automatic/manual spray skill and technology.
6. Trouble shooting and quick solution, fast identification method of pure polyurea vs hybrid.
During the PDA-CHINA training, Prof. Weibo Huang always stands on the principle of combining theory with practice. He used the easy understood operating language to explain the difficult points of books, standards and regulations or dull contents, so that the interest in study of all the attendees was improved. He taught the learners one-on-one about how to master the spray skill and move pace. He patiently answered the technological questions asked by learners and leaders, experts and supervisors from the Department of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway Project of China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. Prof. Huang who is meticulous in knowledge, strict in training and serious responsible in attitude was highly regarded by leaders and all the attendees.
October 1, 2009 was the 60th anniversary of New China’s founding, all the attendees led by Prof. Weibo Huang celebrated the National Day with the activities of flay-raising with singing national anthem ceremony and facing the national flag to pledged allegiance in the Changzhou trial block of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway.
In this training course, Prof. Weibo Huang arranged the teaching contents of heavy shot blasting, light shot blasting, dry substrate, wet substrate, etc. some typical skill course, according to the characteristic of C50 concrete and the weather along the Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway and he also helped the attendee finish the practical operation. The fine properties of JN-101 pure polyurea produced by Weifang Hongyuan Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd and Qtech-112 all-weather substrate processing system of Qingdao Technological University received high praise from the leaders, experts and attendees. At the end of the training course, the examination on the jobsite was given and the attendee who passed the examination was rewarded the PDA-CHINA Certificates.
