PDA-USA had a nearly unanimous vote on this Tuesday (August 11, 2009) at the PDA-US Board of Directors meeting to agree to establish PDA-China. PDA-EU is also in agreement with this vote. After PDA-USA (2000) and PDA-Europe (2007), PDA-China is the third one of the most important polyurea organizations in the world. It marks that under the leadership of Prof. Weibo Huang, Chinese have their own lawful seat on the international stage of polyurea.

In the congratulation letter of Past-President of PDA-USA Mr. Lee Hanson to Prof. Huang, he highly praised all of Prof. Huang’s hard word and contribution to polyurea industry and PDA-China establishment, congratulated him to be the first President of PDA-China and extended his warmly congratulations on PDA-China's establishment. On behalf of PDA, Mr. Lee Hanson authorized Prof. Huang to use PDA logo in polyurea industry of China. By convention, 2010 The 2nd China (Beijing) International Polyurea Expo & Summit can be named The 1st PDA-China Annual Conference.

Prof. Weibo Huang of Qingdao Technological University was first nominated by PDA in 2002 and elected to be the International Director of PDA Board for two consecutive service terms. The terms are: 2002-2004 and 2003-2005. After Prof. Huang’s retirement, Belgian, the director of R & D Centre of Huntsman Cop. in Europe Mr. Marc Broekaert took over the International Director. In his term from 2006-2008, PDA-Europe was established in the capital of Belgium, Brussels and held The 1st PDA-Europe Annual Conference. In November of 2008, on Mr. Marc's invitation, Prof. Weibo Huang attended The 2nd PDA-Europe Annual Conference in Vienna, Austria and gave a wonderful presentation titled "That Was Polyurea Loves Sports Then, This Is Polyurea Loves Olympic Games Now!" and the representatives of the conference highly praised the innovation consciousness of Chinese polyurea workers and achievement they gained and recommended that the date of November 19, 2008 should be China Day (see http://www.polyurea.cn/en/2008/news081124.htm).

When Mr. Marc Broekaert served out his full period, on December 10, 2008, PDA-US Board of Directors Meeting had a unanimous vote to agree Prof. Weibo Huang to be the International Director of the PDA Board at the third service time and the term was 2009-2011. Prof. Huang said that from 2006 on, he always kept close contact with successive presidents of PDA (Murph, Loomis, Lee Hanson, Don and Lee Bower) and tried his best to establish China Polyurea Development Association (PDA-China). Because of the language barrier, the work on establishing PDA-China met a big obstacle. However, under the hard working of Prof. Huang and Chinese people’s support, today the Polyurea Olympic Games comes to China.
