Move the class to the jobsite, Prof. Huang fired the first shot of polyurea applied in Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway

        In order to get the firsthand data from jobsites of polyurea protection applied in Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway construction and to cultivate more professional personnel in polyurea for China, recently, Prof. Weibo Huang of Qingdao Technological University led some teachers and students from Research Institute of Functional Materials to the jobsite of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway construction. He combined the daily teaching and academic research with the practice of the jobsite and gave all the teachers, the students and workers at the jobsite a very vivid training course on polyurea technology. Prof. Huang also demonstrated spraying polyurea with the gun, which fired the first shot of polyruea protection applied in Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway contruction.
        The training at jobsite strictly followed “Temporary Technological Guideline for spraying polyurea as the waterproofing layer on the bridge beams of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway” and did the experimental spraying on small scale according to the following procedures: 
       1、Preparing the surface of substrate with polishing machine and shot blasting machine     and summarizing 5 kinds of typical substrate
      2、Rolling the primer and fill putty
      3、Border protection and smoothing with grind machine
      4、Spraying polyurea and repairing pinhole 
      5、Removing the protection and testing the leveling
      6、 Testing the adhesion and thickness
         The technical data gotten from this jobsite training is significant to make bidding document and conduct the tools using for polyruea protection applied in Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway construction in large scale.
