China (Beijing) International Exhibition of Both Polyurea Spray Technology and Its Application in 2009, the 1st China (Beijing) Spray Polyurea Forum Was Closed with Complete Success
     China (Beijing) International Exhibition of Both Polyurea Spray Technology and Its Application in 2009, and the 1st China (Beijing) Spray Polyurea Forum (hereinafter referred to as Expo & Forum) was held at Beijing World Trade Centre during Feb 23-25, 2009.
     The Expo & Forum was the largest gathering in China polyurea industry or even the world. People went to the Expo on and on for business and visiting, at the same time, on Feb 23 and Feb 24 morning, there were many reputable experts, professors and chief engineers of famous enterprises gave the audience very brilliant presentations at the Forum.
     Professor of Qingdao Technological University, chairman of the preparatory committee for PDA-China, and chairman of the preparatory committee for China Polyurea Industry Association and the International Director of the PDA Board, Dr. Weibo Huang[ Figure 1] made the welcome speech. President of PDA and President of Hanson Group., Mr. Lee Hanson[ Figure 2] and Alliance Director of PDA, President of Polyverse International Mr. Lee Bower[ Figure 3] made the congratulation speeches. Research Institute of Functional Materials of Qingdao Technological University, Ms. Grace Shi[ Figure 4] presided at the Forum and also served as the interpreter. The student majored in Material Science and Engineering of Qingdao Technological University, Miss Jing Zhang[ Figure 5] served as the technical interpreter.

     Prof. Huang gave a speech titled “In Memory of 10th Anniversary of SPUA in China and PDA in US”. He analyzed the development trend of China polyurea industry, forecasted the top 10 fields of its application in the future and showed his high expectation to the waterproof of Beijing-Shanghai Intercity Railway construction.

Their presentations showed the newest development of the technologies involved in their own fields. Especially, the presentation of Prof. Liming Sheng (Chief Engineer of Ministry of Railway, P.R.China) titled “Proposals for Continue Doing A Good Job in High Speed Railway” was the climax of the forum.

     Many elites of polyurea industry attended the Expo & Forum, such as the business managers from the international famous companies, BASF, Bayer, Huntsman, Mitsui Chemical, directors and technical mangers involved in naval ports, military industry, railway, automobile, city construction, waterproof, anti-corrosion, bridge, landscape, ground floor, environmental protection, etc, professors and experts form many famous universities of China, etc. After the conference, all the attendees gave the high regards to Expo & Forum and showed their expectation to attend it again.
      At the closing ceremony on Feb 24 morning, Mr. Lee Hanson, President of PDA, Mr. Murphy Mahaffey and Prof. Weibo Huang expressed the appreciateion to the attendees. Thank the exhibitors and the associates involved in polyurea for their support and attendance to the Expo & Forum. Mr. Lee Hanson said that polyurea was born in the US, but was developing in China, and in the following two years, China may be the biggest consumer of polyurea. Although this was the 10th year of PDA and held 10 exhibitions, but he still felt amazed that the 1st Expo & Forum was so successful.[ Figure 21-25]

       After the closing ceremony, Prof. Weibo Huang, Mr. Lee Hanson and Mr. Murphy Mahaffey signed the Proceedings of the Forum for the China polyurea fans and took pictures with them.
       On Feb 24 afternoon, Prof. Weibo Huang presided at the 2009 Symposium on the Establishment of PDA-China. On Feb 25 morning, he visited the exhibitors at the Expo in World Trade Centre one by one to express the appreciation and thanks.         The success of Expo & Forum has profound significance. It is the mark of the polyurea technology mature in China, and linking with the polyurea technology of the world. With the establishing of PDA-China and China Polyurea Industry Asoociation (CPIA), China polyurea technology will develop better and better.
       Expo & Forum’s successful closing indicates that after 10 years development, China polyurea reached a new climax. We believe that the polyurea “ born in US, developing in China”. Polyurea will rely on China and develop in all over the world with our effort.
